World Mental Health Day October 10, 2021

World Mental Health day was established in 1992. It is intended as a day to bring awareness of mental health disorders, support those affected by these disorders, and highlight services and advocacy available to individuals and families. The World Health Organization theme for 2021 is “Mental Health Care for All: Let’s Make it a Reality”.

The World Federation for Mental Health estimates 75%- 95% of people living with mental disorders in low and middle-income countries are unable to access mental health services. Based on these statistics, this year will highlight the inequalities and stigmas that individuals with mental health challenges face in obtaining reliable services.
