March 9 is World Kidney Day

March 9 is World Kidney Day. This is a day to raise global awareness about kidney health. The 2023 theme is “Kidney Health for All: Preparing for the Unexpected and Supporting the Vulnerable.” This year’s focus is about raising awareness to the occurrence of natural and manmade disasters and the impact caused to people living with kidney disease to access services, treatment and care.

Did you know, in 2021 as many as 37 million people in the United States are estimated to have chronic kidney disease (CKD) according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC). 9 of every 10people were not aware they have CKD.

Your kidneys are amazing organs that perform many much-needed task that keep you healthy:
