Parkinson's disease affects the brain's ability to control movement, causing tremors, stiffness, and balance problems. The disease happens when brain cells that make dopamine start dying. While we don't know exactly what causes it, both genes and environment can play a role. Older adults and men are at higher risk.
Living with Parkinson's makes daily tasks harder, from writing to walking. Symptoms get worse over time, and people may also experience depression, sleep issues, and memory problems. Though there's no cure, treatments like medicine and therapy can help manage symptoms.
