The “Quad-demic” refers to four viral illnesses that are on the rise this winter, including COVID-19, Influenza (Flu), Norovirus (Stomach flu), Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). COVID-19 continues to evolve with new variants despite existing immunity, while flu cases are expected to impact vulnerable populations. RSV presents particular risks to infants and the elderly, and Norovirus is spreading, especially in educational settings. To protect against these threats, experts recommend staying up-to-date with vaccinations, maintaining good hygiene practices, and monitoring local health trends.
