January 2023 is National Birth Defects Prevention Month

National Safety Month

June is National Safety Month. This year is the 25th anniversary of the annual observance that helps keep people safe in and out of the workplace. With the U.S. having the highest number of workplace deaths since 2007- 5,333 fatal injuries in 2019- shedding a light on his topic is very important.

With this national safety month, we have the opportunity to not only bring awareness but to make a practical difference in the safety of your work, home, and community spaces. We need to identify the risks around these environments to improve safety standards across the board. There are various ways to observe this national safety month:

At the National Safety Council website, they provide weekly topics about different safety tips like how to prevent incidents before they occur and how to feel safe on the job. The National Safety Council is America’s leading nonprofit safety advocate. The organization is focused on eliminating the leading causes of preventable death. They believe those best efforts are used on impacting the workplace, roadway, and impairment.
