In Remembrance

It is with great sadness that Philadelphia Coordinated Health Care (PCHC) share the news of the unfortunate passing of our previous Director Ms. Dina McFalls. Dina passed away a few days before Christmas while living in Ft. Meyers, FL during retirement.

Dina was one of the original PCHC staff members over 30 years ago. We would not be the organization we are today without her creativity, unique ideas and leadership. Her accomplishments on both the local and statewide are lengthy. Dina was instrumental in the statewide managed care transition and helped develop the Special Needs Units. She created PCHC’s Integrated Health Care Review (IHCR) model which has become our staple of clinical assessment for the SE Region. Dina helped develop the ODP Dual Diagnosis Curriculum, Certified Peer Supports for the IDD Community and the Philadelphia County BHID model program. She wrote the Health Care Quality Unit (HCQU) bulletin and RFP for the existence of the other HCQUs as well as helped to establish and expand PCHC as the model HCQU for the state.

She will be fondly remembered for her determination, conviction, keen sense of humor and her inability to say “No” to any project or idea that came her way.

Dina is survived by her husband Jim McFalls, formerly of KenCrest Services, her son Sky, a granddaughter and grandson on the way.

PCHC and the HCQU model will continue to thrive in her legacy!
