This training will provide a brief history of the public health concern surrounding selected infestations, physical description and behaviors of bed bugs, description of the affects to humans from bedbugs, how to recognize possible infestations, how infestations take place, treatment options most likely to happen and prevention techniques to eliminate and minimize repeat episodes.  Take this training

Burn Management

Burn Management  (1.5 credit hours)  NEW!

 

The PCHC Burn Management training will help trainees to identify different types and the severity of burns.  What first aid steps should be taken to help a victim of a burn and when a burn should be evaluated by a doctor will be explained during the training.  Trainees will also lean about some common complications of burns. Take this training

Participants of this training will be able to define challenging behaviors, identify factors that trigger challenging behaviors, recognize warning signs that signal challenging behaviors, identify components of a behavior plan, increase positive communication and utilize strategies to maintain a positive environment and prevent challenging behaviors.   Take this training

This training discusses communication with the psychiatrist. The areas that will be covered in this training are, how do you talk with the psychiatrist about your individual? What is the difference between a behavior and a target symptom? What information about the individual should you give the psychiatrist? What does the psychiatrist owe the team and the individual? What is the relationship between target symptoms, diagnosis and treatment?  Take this training

This training will help you understand the term “constipation” and some signs or symptoms of constipation, help you understand some causes of constipation, introduce tips on how to prevent constipation, help you understand the importance of monitoring, help you understand that constipation can cause other health problems. The PCHC Sensory training will increase your knowledge of the human sensory system.  You will learn how the six senses of vision, hearing, touch, taste, smell and vestibular/movement work.  The training will also talk about common sensory disorders and how this can affect individuals with a developmental disability.  Take this training

This training will provide a better understanding of behavior and the possibilities for communication that behavior offers, and how to determine the difference between a target symptom of a mental illness and other types of behavior.  Take this training

TRAINING CERTIFICATE ANNOUNCEMENT

Please note the following requirements when printing training certificates from our website:

  1. PRINTING CERTIFICATES: Make sure your computer is connected to a printer in order to print your training certificates.
  2. VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS: Please provide a valid e-mail address when submitting the Training Evaluation Form. This ensures you receive your certificate by e-mail. The system can only send a certificate to the e-mail for the person who took the training. We are unable to print multiple certificates at one time. It’s the training participant’s responsibility to ensure receipt of certificates for training documentation.
  3. E-MAIL CONFIRMATIONS: You should receive your certificate via e-mail within one hour after completing the on-line training. If you do not receive it after an hour, then contact PCHC.
  4. LOST CERTIFICATES: Generating lost or duplicate certificates is time-consuming. Please make sure you follow the steps above to print and save your certificates.
