Q: Does PCHC provide direct health care?

A: PCHC does not provide direct health care services. Access to experienced
community-based professionals is facilitated.


Q: Does PCHC have physicians and nurses on staff?

A: PCHC has a staff that includes nurses experienced in serving individuals with intellectual/developmental disablities (I/DD). PCHC also employs a behavorial specialist and a psychiatrist. PCHC has access to experienced physicians who are available on a consultative basis. PCHC can assist in locating a clinician who may best meet the needs of the individual with I/DD.


Q: Do you serve adults, as well as children?

A: PCHC’s services are primarily directed toward adults with developmental disabilities living in funded community residential homes in Southeastern Pennsylvania.


Q: Is there a charge for PCHC’s services?

A: PCHC’s services are available free of charge to any person registered with the Office of Developmental Programs in Pennsylvania’s Southeastern Region. Services are also provided free of charge to any provider agency serving individuals under contract with the Office of Developmental Programs.


Q: Does PCHC accept Medical Assistance?

A: No. PCHC does not accept insurance of any type, as it does not provide direct health care services.


Q: How is PCHC staff trained?

A: PCHC nursing and professional staff are trained in working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and many are certified by the Developmental Disabilities Nursing Association (DDNA) in this field. Technical assistance staff have health care and insurance backgrounds, as well as experience in the field of social work.

Q: Why didn't I receive a confirmation e-mail?
