This training is designed for direct support staff, supervisors, support coordinators and families.
Frequently individuals, families, teams need to make decisions regarding feeding tube placement. It always helps to be knowledgeable when making these decisions or supporting someone with a feeding tube. During this session we will discuss the reasons for feeding tubes being placed and the various types of feeding tubes. We also will discuss what the safety issues are associated with feeding tubes, why positioning is so important and what the common problems and interventions are.
